The latest version of Apple's operating system iOS will be released to the public Wednesday -- and there is already a jailbreak.

According to 9to5 Mac, last week well-known hacker "iH8snow" posted a video on YouTube that shows him running the GM build of iOS 9, which is the pre-release of the brand new operating system.

iH8snow shows that the jailbreak solution is "dirty" and "hacky," but he says it is still a "proper jailbreak." He also says that this jailbreak works for iOS 9.1 beta.

Even though iH8snow has figured out a way to jailbreak iOS 9, the public might not see it anytime soon. iH8snow does not plan to release it to those who want to jailbreak their iPhones and iPads.

Since the video shows that he was able to jailbreak iOS 9, another developer could follow his efforts and release one of their own.

For now, jailbreakers are advised to keep their devices running iOS 8.4 so that they can continue enjoying their tweaks and extra features with the iOS 8.4 jailbreak. The most current version of iOS before iOS 9 is iOS 8.4.1.

iOS 9.1 will introduce some new emojis and improved performance. iOS 9.1 is still in its beta phase, but some users might want to wait until a jailbreak is released for the public version of iOS 9.1 because of these new features.

iOS 9 will offer minor improvements, but its security is expected to improve greatly.

Some of the new features coming to iOS 9 include:

  • Low power mode
  • News app
  • Proactive search
  • Six-digit Passcodes
  • Improved Notes app with the capability to add pictures, maps and sketches inside notes

All iPhones from the 4s and up are eligible to upgrade to iOS 9. The download size of the upgrade is 1.4 GB.
