‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Spoilers Season 1, Episode 4: Groups at Odds Over National Guard Occupation [Watch]
The situation on "Fear the Walking Dead" elevated another notch last Sunday when the group got quarantined on the block.
Episode 4, "Not Fade Away," will air on cable network AMC next Sunday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m. EDT, according to TV Guide.
What started out last week with a simple quarantine of the neighborhood block that Madison and company were on will soon escalate to a deadly situation, according to the synopsis on AMC's website.
One thing good about last week on "Fear the Walking Dead" was that Travis made it back with his extended family. But the bad choice they made was deciding to wait until morning to leave. The National Guard came in and quarantined their neighborhood by the time they were ready to go.
Now, Travis and Madison are at odds with each other about the situation. One sees the occupation as a safety net for them, intended to protect them from the masses of zombies surely heading their way.
The other sees the occupation a little differently. It's like being locked inside a cellar with a man just before he changes into a werewolf. That view is likely to be the one that wins out, considering the zombies will eventually break through the barrier, eat the military men and feast on the buffet that was locked down and waiting for them.
It is not unreasonable to consider the alternative, which is sneak out or break through the quarantine barrier and run for the safety of less populated areas. Just like with their parent show "The Walking Dead," being in a big city during the zombie apocalypse spells out certain doom for the characters.
The modern family will also start learning the rules of this new world very quickly, given that this show exists in a universe that has no prerequisites on how to deal with zombies.
