After taking the world by storm as Jesse Pinkman in AMC's Breaking Bad, Aaron Paul is heading to the movies. The actor stars in the upcoming film, Need for Speed, which features fast cars, better stunts than previous racing movies and a splash of romance.

The jump from the small screen to the big screen was almost a no-brainer for the 35-year-old actor.

"I started this film the day after I wrapped Breaking Bad," Paul said in an interview with Bold Ride. " I was on a plane at 6:30 in the morning and was in a 2.5 million Koenigsegg (replica) by the afternoon."

Paul did not explicitly state that Need for Speed, which is based off of the $3 billion video game franchise, is better than The Fast and the Furious films. He did, however, say that the movie's lack of dependence on CGI makes it stand out from other competitors.

"I hope people come to this film and go, 'My God, I haven't seen a true car movie in a very long time,'" Paul explained. "I mean it was just raw, gritty, racing. It's not a bunch of smoke and mirrors, and people know when they're being lied to. They will see a difference here between our movie and other recent car films."

According to Paul, most of the action in the film is real.

"I did most of my driving," he told Extra. "No CGI; everything that you see in this film is real, and so that's why it looks so real."

Scott Waugh, the film's director, explained how Need for Speed could speed through such priceless cars.

"We need to build the car properly with special roll cages and outfit it with cannons that help the car turn over," Waugh told HLN. "So months of preparation go into doing an actual flip in a car professionally and keeping the stunt players safe...the Lamborghini Elemento, there are only three [in the world]! Those cars aren't made to flip, so when it came to wrecking the cars, we built kit cars that had proper roll cages, etc. We weren't really in the business of wrecking art pieces: There's only three in the world, and now there's two."

Need for Speed is not all cars and crashing, however. There is also romance in the film. In a sexy new clip, Paul's Tobey Marshall is seen telling Dakota Johnson's Anita "You look beautiful" while caressing her face. Paul also has his fair share of kissing scenes with Imogen Poots, who plays Julia Maddon.

"During each take we'd be eating Mentos before or Altoids, whatever," Paul said.

"I chew gum like a maniac constantly," Poots added.

Need for Speed hits theaters March 14.
