Actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, are expecting their first child, reports Us Weekly.

"They are so excited!" an insider told Us Weekly.

The couple, who has been together for nine years, already have parenting experience by caring for Johnson's daughter, Simone, from his first marriage to Dany Garcia.

In a June interview with Esquire magazine, The Rock expressed his admiration for Hashian.

"I've lived with my longtime girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, going on, like, eight, nine years now. She's a singer-songwriter. We spend a lot of time with my daughter in Florida, Simone, who's 13. We do these stories and we talk so much about the business end, the success end, but then Lauren isn't mentioned and my daughter isn't mentioned. I always like making sure we find the balance and my home life is in there and Lauren Hashian is in there and my daughter is in there," he said.

"With all the cool sh*t and success that I've been lucky enough to get? That doesn't happen unless the home life is solid."

He also told the Hollywood Reporter in another interview, "She embraced and loved me at my very worst and lifted me up to be my very best."

Since they started dating, they've rarely been spotted in public together.

The first time was on the red carpet for the premiere of Johnson's film "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" in Hollywood on March 28, 2013.

They attended a second premiere for "Hercules" on July 23, 2014, at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

On Feb. 22, they attended the 2015 Academy Awards.

Hashian is an accomplished singer-songwriter. She was one of the finalists on the 2005 competition show "R U That Girl" hosted by TLC's Chilli and T-Boz. She has co-written a song for YaBoi Shad; she also sings on the track.

The couple met while he was filming "The Game Plan" in 2006, and they started dating the following year, reports Heavy.
