The Walking Dead Season 2 Game: Telltale Games Announces Episode 2 Release Date, Trailer [VIDEO]
Telltales Games has finally announced the release date of its next The Walking Dead video game, Season 2, Episode 2, which has been titled A House Divided.
Season 2, Episode 2 of The Walking Dead game will be available for Sony's PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Mac starting March 4.
"Telltale has a history of releasing episodic games -- our development philosophy is built around it and it's something that makes us different from most other developers," Telltale Games says."Like many story-based TV shows, the game will tell a complete story arc over the course of a season. We will periodically release one episode at a time until all 5 episodes are available and the season is complete."
A House Divided will also eventually be available for the Xbox 360, iOS and European PS3s at a date that Telltale Games tells Joystiq "will be confirmed shortly."
Meanwhile, Joystiq reports that Sony claims Season 2, Episode 2 of The Walking Dead game is "tracking" to be available for PlayStation Vita sometime at the end of March. The game's launch will include the season's first two episodes.
In the game, users play as Clementine, a young girl.
"[Clementine is] a young survivor in a world gone to hell," Telltale Games explained. "The dead have risen to feast on the living, the living cannot be trusted. Choice matters: The decisions you make in the game change the story around you."
The Walking Dead games are not directly linked to AMC's The Walking Dead television series.
"Although the TV show and our game series are both licenses based on Robert Kirkman's comic books, there is no other link between them," Telltale Games says.
According to the game developer, after all five episodes of Season 2 are released, they will likely launch the entire season on either a disc or some "other retail format."
"Telltale is a 'digital-first' company," the company says.
