Not only did Carly Fiorina emerge as the victor of the second Republican presidential debate Wednesday night, but polls also show that her popularity has risen in a key voting state.

After giving a strong performance in the second televised GOP presidential debate, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO has gained positive recognition and rising interest on social media.

According to a Morning Consult poll released Friday, 29 percent of viewers thought Fiorina was the winner of the debate, which was broadcast by CNN in Simi Valley, California, reports The Hill.

Although the former tech executive prospered as the winner of the debate, The Washington Post reports that Donald Trump was the most mentioned contender on the stage, which shows that the GOP race still orbits around his candidacy.

Meanwhile, a Voter Gravity poll released Friday shows that Fiorina has taken lead in New Hampshire over the 16 other Republican candidates. With 22 percent support among GOP primary voters in the state, Fiorina has a 4-point edge over Trump, who gained 18 percent of support.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson came in third place with 10 percent support, while Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush tied with 9 percent each. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio follows with 7 percent while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie trail him with 6 percent each.

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee each gained between 2 and 3 percent in the Granite State.

Although Fiorina delivered a standout performance at the CNN debate, she ranks in sixth place with 4.7 percent support in polls, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of national polls. Trump is still the frontrunner in the race for next year's GOP presidential nomination with an average of 28.3 percent support.
