Season 3 of "The Originals" will kick off with a bang as viewers will see a war between the Mikaelson siblings and the sire lines begin to brew in the season premiere.

The CW released details about the upcoming vampire drama, revealing the title of the premiere episode, "For the Next Millennium," reports CarterMatt. The synopsis also reveals that the first episode of the new season will feature flashbacks of the Original siblings. It will also show their hardships in the present day in wake of what happened with Dahlia.

"Months following their violent and deadly showdown with the powerful witch Dahlia, a rift continues to divide brothers Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies), while Freya (Riley Voekel) searches for a way to heal their fractured bond and return their family to the way they once were," reads the synopsis, according to Dread Central.

"Meanwhile, Klaus' suspicion piques when he learns that an old vampire friend named Lucien (guest star Andrew Lees) has arrived to New Orleans with a mysterious agenda involving the Mikaelson's remaining sire lines. Elsewhere, Elijah questions whether he can truly forgive his brother for his mounting offenses, while Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) struggles with being cursed to her wolf form in the bayou. In the French Quarter, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) and Cami (Leah Pipes) assist Detective Kinney (guest star Jason Dohring) after a series of gruesome discoveries are made, leading them to believe they may have a serial killer on the loose. Finally, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who has regained control of the French Quarter once again, tries a new strategy to recruit vampires, while Davina (Danielle Campbell), who is now Regent to the New Orleans witches, makes a decision that will find her and Marcel on opposite sides of an escalating conflict."

Fans can also look forward to seeing Claire Holt reprise her reoccurring role as Rebekah, although the actress is no longer a series star on the show.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Julie Plec teased that Holt's Rebekah is heavily involved in the flashback story. The show will featured scenes of Holt and her brothers during the first 10 years of the Original Family as vampires. Fans will also be introduce to the Trinity.

"We'll actually be seeing quite a lot of Claire in the beginning of the season in flashbacks. We'll see which of the three she sired and how that all went down and then we will come find [Rebekah] in present day, where she realizes she's in as much danger from the other sire lines as her brothers are," said the EP.

The new season of "The Originals" will premiere on The CW on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. EDT.
