The recent Tokyo Game Show has been nothing but an overload of gaming experience for game fanatics. While the event is commended for its success, the games themselves bagged their own recognition for their outstanding development.

According to a report from Attack of the Fan Boy, Sledgehammer Games' "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" took home the award for Best Overseas Game.

Some of the prominently featured announcements during the Tokyo Game Show include a new DLC for "The Old Hunters," a fresh character in "Street Fighter V" and a new name for Sony's Morpheus Project, which is now labeled as PlayStation VR.

Although "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" took home a rather significant award, other games were also awarded at the Tokyo Game Show including "Super Smash Bros" as Best Game in Japan, "Yo-Kai Watch 2 Ganso/Honke" as Game of the Year and "Ingress (Niantic)" for Game Designers Award.

A special award was given to "Minecraft" and "Monster Strike" with the Grand Prize awarded to "Yo-Kai Watch 2: Ganso/Honke/Shinuchi.

For the Excellence Award, several games and developers were rewarded including "Destiny," "Bloodborne," "Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire," "Super Smash Bros." for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U, "Monster Hunter 4G," "Dragon Quest Heroes" and "Mario Kart 8."

With the Tokyo Game Show wrapping up its event, Sony, on the other hand, will continue to hold their press conferences, particularly in the upcoming Paris Game Week, which will be held next month.

In another report by Attack of the Fan Boy, Sony confirmed that their press conference will happen for the Paris Game Week will be on Oct. 27. Sony's presence at the said event has been highly anticipated after a no-show at the recent Gamescom event last October. If anything else, Sony's press conference will bat schedules with that of Microsoft for their "Halo 5: Guardians" launch.

Although there has been no official announcement on what will Sony feature on the upcoming Paris Game Week, some speculations say the "Horizon: Zero Dawn," "Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls" and "Dream, Tearaway: Unfolded" could make a possible appearance.

Sony will also hold an event for their second and last PlayStation Experience for 2015, which will be held from Dec. 5 to 6 in San Francisco. The company has made a big impact at the recent Tokyo Game Show also because of their price drop announcement in Japan.
