Kate Upton has gained a serious amount of celebrity over the past couple of years for her signature, bouncy strut up and down some of the most famous catwalks in the world. Now, she has finally landed the coveted U.S. cover of Vogue magazine.

The 20-year-old model has already graced the covers of multiple international editions of the magazine, has been featured on Sports Illustrated, in viral videos, and in T.V. ads, but was never able to land the prized U.S. cover till now.

While Upton clearly has the looks needed to become an international modeling sensation, that is not what she attributes her success to the most. Beyond anything else, she believes that her confidence is what has driven her the furthest.

"I really just live my life. I love my body. It's what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great."

Despite her bombshell appearance and popularity among the general populace, Upton has not necessarily had it easy in the fashion world. Many experts have criticized her voluptuous frame as not in line with the standards of the catwalk. Upton made it a point to pay them no mind, and continued on with her happy-go-lucky attitude.

"I didn't buy the magazines [growing up] that had models on the covers, because I didn't know them. So I think this kind of gives me, as a model, a personality that people can connect with," Upton said.

With this latest addition to her resume as cover girl for the institutional magazine, Upton has certainly reached another plateau in her already famed career. She wants people to realize that she's gotten there not just because of a pretty face, but mainly due to her unending drive to succeed that superseded even the runway.

"I always had career goals. And I figured out a path I wanted to take to accomplish those goals. If that meant calling the best modeling agency in the world, that's what it meant," she said, later adding, "I never set out to be on the runway."
