Recently, 2K Sports released a demo showcasing a match between Rollins and Sting. In the video, it was revealed that Rollins' infamous curb stomp will be in the game.
Rollins announced a few months ago that the move is banned from the ring. In an interview with Fox Sports earlier this year, Rollins explained the ban.
"It was a decision that was collectively made from a PR standpoint," he said. "Curb stomp just seemed like it was too perceptually violent, I guess you would say. I never hurt anyone with it. It was just something we didn't want kids trying on each other."
You can check out the virtual matchup between Sting and Rollins below:
Superstars confirmed to be in the game are Triple H, Emma, Corporate Kane, Sin Cara, Lord Steven Regal, Booker T, Tamina, Eva Marie, Colonel Mustafa, General Adnan, Kalisto, Cena, Lesnar, Undertaker and Summer Rae.
The MyCareer and 2K Showcase modes will return this year. Gamers will have the opportunity to revisit memorable events in WWE history. They can also make their own stories by creating their own superstars, who will try to rise to stardom from NXT to the WWE Hall of Fame. The 2K Showcase and MyCareer modes previously received positive reviews from fans.
WWE 2K16 will be in stores on Oct. 27 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
