After being married for only a couple of years, could pop superstar Janet Jackson be divorcing her wealthy real estate mogul husband?

Rumors have been fluttering about that the singer will separate from Wissam Al Mana. However, it has now beenreported that perhaps the rumors were not founded on any truth. But could they be? 

After marrying Al Mana in secret in early 2013, the couple has not had any major issues. And why would they? Al Mana, who is worth $1 billion and owns parts of retailers in the Middle East as well as a large real estate company, has been reportedly having a good relationship with Jackson. That was until the rumors started buzzing around.

According to reports, sources close to the couple said, "She confided to a few close friends and [her mother] Katherine that she's preparing to leave him. And she's begun calling friends at all hours crying and saying how miserable she is ... Janet is getting set to challenge the prenup and demand a flat lump sum payout from his fortune."

So, is Jackson really in it only for the money?

We will not know any time soon since it is now reported by ET Online that the couple will not be divorcing, and that the rumors are indeed false. According to the source commenting on Jackson and Al Mana, "The rumors about their marriage are a lie. They are very happy and very much together. In fact, the couple has recently purchased an even larger home in New York."

It had been reported soon after their marriage became known that the couple wanted to have children together.

Whether the rumors are true or not are still not certain since all the information we receive are from "sources" close to the couple and not the couple themselves. Bu then again, who would want to make their divorce public in such a way.
