Julia Roberts' husband Danny Moder has been conspicuously absent from their home of late, fueling rumors that the long-troubled pair may have finally parted ways.

Radar Online reports the Oscar-winning actress and her photographer husband have long been dogged by rumors of strife in their 13-year union. Recently, moving trucks were spied outside their California home while the "Pretty Woman" star was away in New York attending a Givenchy runway show.

"Danny hasn't been at the house several times recently when Julia is there with the kids," said a source.

"Julia said she doled out millions in mortgage payments for [Moder's father]," another source added, confirming that the two have often clashed over money. "She helped him out for at least five years, and she got tired of footing the bill."

Speculation is the financial problem may have recently become even more of an issue for the couple, which may explain why Moder was not present at the funeral of his wife's mother earlier this year.

While in New York, the 47-year-old mother of three was reported to be sporting a "weary" smile throughout much of Fashion Week. She also created a bit of a stir by donning a shirt bearing a photograph of designer Riccardo Tisci while attending the star-laden show at Pier 26.

Roberts recently sought to quell all the growing speculation by telling Allure magazine that having her husband with her on the set of her new movie "Secret in Their Eyes" gave her comfort and security.

"There's something about having the safest place in the world for you in the same room," she said, adding, "I don't know if I would have succeeded in some of the efforts that I made if he hadn't been in such close physical proximity to me."
