"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" left fans with a number of unresolved questions after the finale last season, but two in particular -- romance and a new captain -- are at the top of the list to be resolved in the first episode of season 3.

According to TV Guide, Episode 1 for Season 3 will be titled "New Captain" and will air on the broadcast network Fox this Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8:30 p.m. EDT.

During the finale of Season 2, fans were left with a kiss between Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy (Melissa Fumero), as well as the departure of Captain Holt (Andre Braugher), who was "promoted" to a position with the NYPD's public relations department.

Season 3 is expected to pick right up with those storylines, and fans will finally get to see the fallout from those developments, especially the long-awaited romance between Jake and Amy. Their relationship had been building since the end of Season 1, and many episodes throughout Season 2 flirted with the storyline.

According to Spoilers Guide, Season 3 will definitely see some fallout between Jake and Amy about what happened. The main question is whether the kiss was to maintain their covers or for real. Fans already know that it meant something to both of them, but neither knows what the other felt. They are both playing it cool, trying not to tip their hands to each other. This, of course, may lead to an interesting situation in the coming season.

Now that Holt has left the precinct, the new captain (Bill Hader) is coming in to bring the unit up to speed and into efficient order. Hader has been listed as a guest star in this role, which could mean that Holt will make his way back to the precinct at some point this season.
