Being a mother is never easy. Being a celebrity mother is probably just a little harder. And now Gwen Stefani's troubles have been tripled, though she probably does not mind. The No Doubt lead singer has another boy though she had initially been hoping for a girl. Regardless, she and her husband are happy with the new addition.

Stefani, 44, gave birth to Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale on Friday Feb. 28. The news was tweeted by a happy father, the Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, 48. In the same tweet the musician father explained the boy's long name. Bowie is Rossdale's mother maiden name and Flynn is Stefani's mother maiden name.

Stefani revealed her pregnancy to fans in January via an Instagram photo of her pregnant. "I was ready to hand over the crown. But I guess I am still queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys," she wrote in the caption, according to the New York Daily News. Despite not having a girl, as it seems was her desire, the singer is nonetheless happy. She had expressed complications with expanding her family in a Marie Claire interview in October of 2012. In the interview she had already given up hope in having a third child.

According to Us Weekly, who broke the news of the birth, Stefani threw a lavish and star-studded baby shower on Feb. 8 to celebrate the coming birth. The expectant mother invited Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, Chelsea Handler, Rachel Zoe, and Kate Beckinsale. Stefani commemorated the event on Instagram.

Apollo joins his older brothers Kingston, 7, and Zuma, 5. However, life with three boys will be a little different for the singer and designer. She recently released a new shoe line in collaboration with ShoeDazzle, which will be called gx by Gwen Stefani.
