The Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 have just started picking up steam on the global market. Both current-gen devices have been released for little over a month; yet, Samsung isn't keen on laying on its laurels. On the contrary, the South Korean mobile manufacturer is said to already be developing the Galaxy S7.

Now, a fresh report has added to the haul of Galaxy S7 rumors.

According to Sam Mobile, the upcoming addition to the Galaxy S series will be available in two variants.

One of the pair of Galaxy S7 devices is rumored to have a flat display and the Exynos 8890 processor. The second variant will allegedly feature a dual-edge curve design and the Snapdragon 820. Both of which will reportedly be fitted with Samsung's zippy UFS 2.0 flash storage.

Furthermore, the upcoming next-generation Samsung flagships are said to be released simultaneously in Canada, China, Europe, Korea and the U.S. The duo will then be shipped to all of Samsung's existing markets around the world. As of the moment, these are the only release details that have been reported.

Some of the mobile carriers that will reportedly offer plans for the Galaxy S7 devices right off the bat are the following:

1. Bell Mobility (Canada)

2. KT, LG Uplus and SKTelecom (Korea)

3. AT&T, Cricket, MetroPCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon (U.S.)

Ongoing development of the Galaxy S7 devices is known as "Project Lucky." The final names of both handsets are still unknown, although it was discovered recently that Samsung calls them "Hero" and "Hero2." Their build numbers are SM-G930 and SM-G935, respectively.

Support for micro-SD expansion might be a feature of one if not both of the Galaxy S7 variants, though this remains to be confirmed up to this point. The same breath of uncertainty can be said of the devices' camera capabilities. Samsung might fit the devices with either a 20-megapixel ISOCELL sensor or a dual-sensor setup.

Rumors regarding the Galaxy S7 first saw the light of day after a Weibo user discovered a benchmark listing of an unreleased device from Samsung codenamed "Lucky" in the AnTuTu database.

"Lucky," assumed to be a prototype of the Galaxy S7, had 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory while running on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Although the prototype was powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor, Samsung is considering using two different processors for the Galaxy S7, GforGames previously reported.

The latest report from Sam Mobile has since vindicated the prior rumor.
