Katie Holmes is reportedly seeking to have child support payments from ex-husband Tom Cruise for their 9-year-old daughter increased from their current sum of more than $400,000 annually.

Radar Online reports Holmes is prepping to go back to court and "fight for even more money" from the "Mission Impossible" star.

"She's going to ask that the $400,000 a year in support she currently gets be amended to a higher amount," a source said.

"While Katie's taking every acting job that comes her way, she doesn't have the ability to keep her and Suri living the lifestyle that Tom's fortune allowed."

Meanwhile, an unreleased issue of Life & Style magazine claims Cruise has not seen daughter Suri in person in more than two years. She is now getting older and needs more money to travel back and forth across the country with her mom while her mom is working.

The source added over the years her needs will only "grow exponentially," as she continues to enroll in activities like dance, music and skating classes.

As for the time she gets to spend with her father, the "Top Gun" star has previously claimed his work schedule has prevented him from spending much time with his daughter. He added he now spends most of his time in London, while she is typically situated in either LA or New York City.

Word is Holmes is no longer as demure and passive as she was during the time she was with her ex and is more than ready to battle him before a judge if need be.

"She's grown a lot tougher since splitting from Tom," a source said of the former "Dawson's Creek" star. The source added Holmes felt suffocated during the marriage but now feels recharged and is no longer in fear.

While Holmes "would be fine if she never saw Tom again," making sure her daughter is properly cared for is a top priority for her.
