Apple has create their largest iPad yet, the iPad Pro, which has a 12.9-inch display.
The iPad Pro is expected to be released in November with a price tag of $799 for the entry-level edition. It will be available in gold, silver and space gray colors.
Apple has modified its iPads several times over the years, but the tech giant has usually made the device thinner and smaller, while improving its display. There has never been a larger version offered.
With the iPad Pro, the company has finally offered a bigger screen. According to Tech Radar, the screen is capable of showing 5.6 million pixels with its 2,732 x 2,048 resolution.
With the iPad Pro, Apple now has three separate tablet models, each with its own advantage. The iPad Air is thin, the iPad mini is small and portable, and the iPad Pro has an ultra-large screen.
Besides having the best screen for an Apple tablet, the iPad Pro will have some powerful internal components.
First, the brand new A9X chip will be 1.5 times faster than the A8X chip used in other iPad models. The iPad Pro's speed is now 80 percent faster than all portable PCs on the market and 90 percent faster for graphics tasks than similar portable PCs.
Next, the battery inside the iPad Pro will last about 10 hours on a single charge, according to Apple.
For accessories, the iPad Pro will utilize the optional Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil. The Smart Keyboard will connect through a Smart Connector, while the Apple Pencil will work wirelessly with the iPad Pro. The Apple Pencil will only last one hour on a charge, but it can be plugged right into the iPad Pro itself.
Finally, the audio in the iPad Pro will be at a much higher level than the iPad Air 2. With four speakers instead of two, the iPad Pro will have three times more powerful sound than the iPad Air 2.
The $799 iPad Pro will come with just 32GB of internal storage. The highest amount of storage offered is 128GB, which will cost $1,079.
