The stroke Kim Zolciak suffered shortly after flying home from an appearance on "Dancing with the Stars" may have been triggered by the Botox procedure she underwent just hours before her performance.

HollywoodLife reports while Botox is typically considered a safe treatment and has never been medically associated with stroke type symptoms, patients are generally advised to keep the head upright for three to four hours after any such procedure.

In short, the lengthy LA to Atlanta trip Zolciak embarked on immediately following Monday night's performance flies in the face of any medical advice Dr. Joshua Zeichner of Zeichner Dermatology says he would have given.

Add that to the grueling rehearsals and practices the former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star has been putting herself through while holding the job of caring for six children, and one is left to wonder if Zolciak may have simply tried to take on too much over such a short period of time.

The 37-year-old "Don't Be Tardy" star has since posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed on Instagram, among others thanking her husband and daughter for their quick reactions.

Zolciak later added she has regained complete feeling on her left side and was hoping to soon be released from the hospital.

Thus far, Zolciak has struggled mightily during her time on "DWTS." Following her first week performance, where she registered the low score of the night with just 12 points, TMZ reports she arrived late to the airport for her flight and was eventually barred from boarding after a dispute with Delta Airlines worker.

Sources close to Zolciak later claimed the mix-up stemmed from Delta workers not being able to locate boarding passes for her daughter and hairstylist for the original flight they were booked on. The situation quickly went from bad to worse when her daughter was bumped to the wait list for the first flight they were reassigned to.
