‘The Strain' Season 2 Episode 12 ‘Fallen Light' Spoilers: Gus Meets An Uncanny Ally
Only two episodes left until the season 2 finale of "The Strain" and yet the strigois continue to roam the cities of New York. It's now up to Gus and his new team of vampire hunters to put an end to their reign. In episode 12 entitled, "The Fallen Light," Gus will team up with Quinlan to defeat The Master. The next series episode will also have Nora and Eph questioning their relationship.
Episode 11 in season 2 of "The Strain" entitled "Dead End," ended with Silver Angel (Joaquin Cosío) and Gus (Miguel Gomez) meeting with Quinlan's assistant after they escorted the Guptas safely out of the border. The synopsis from TV Guide for episode 12 mentions Gus' team will expand as he will meet with an uncanny group of Sun-hunters in their battle against The Master and his army of strigois.
The promo video below, released for "Fallen Light," also shows Gus convincing a group of men to join him and Quinlan battle the enemy. When asked why they should join them, Gus tells them that Quinlan "knows how to win" against The Master and his men.
Episode 12 in season 2 of "The Strain" will also show Eph (Corey Stoll) and Nora's (Mia Maestro) crumbling relationship. They will question the strength of their affection towards each other. According to the synopsis, Eph's relationship with Nora will come to a crossroad. Nora could be in for some heartache despite her being loyal and faithful to Eph.
All throughout the season 2 episodes of "The Strain" and even in season 1, Nora has never laid eyes on other men. She had remained by Eph's side in their fight against the strigois. However, it was a different case for Eph. In episode 6, entitled "Identity," Eph went to Washington and slept with the woman who was supposed to help him distribute the cure for the vampire disease. Eph wasn't being honest with Nora when he returned to Red Hook and told her why he had a gunshot wound on his body.
The synopsis for episode 12 likewise talks of Eph having to choose between the safety of his son Zach (Max Charles) over the security of the people of New York. Zach's life has been in danger ever since "The Intruders," when Kelly (Natalie Brown) tried to take him away from Eph. Kelly will not give up in her attempt to get back his son from Eph and turn him into a strigoi.
