'Destiny: The Taken King' Update: Patch 2.0.0.4 Fixes Quests, Strikes, Xur & More Issues
It's just recently that "Destiny: The Taken King" has been released, but a significant glitch was immediately noticed after the arrival of Oryx.
The hotfix, according to Attack of the Fan Boy, has tackled several glitches within the game, taking the new patch as their first post-launch fix after it was released. Bungie gave out the patch notes that include several fixes within the game as well as some of its general information and introduction.
The patch's General Fix deals with "an issue with Year 1 Moment triumphs in which Golden Chest node completions were disappearing after TTK release."
Under "Activities," some fixes on the quests have also been updated. An improperly served level 40 quest was noted by players. An issue on the "High Value Target" recording has also been fixed.
Everything under the new patch covered general fixes, quests, Xur and Strikes. The inventory was also hit by the bug but is also covered by the latest Patch 2.0.0.4. Black Spindle was actually another big hit on the "Destiny: The Taken King," and while fans took their time and effort to make sure they acquire the weapon, a bug was actually seen within the input.
According to Gamezone, David Dague of Bungie was quick to address the issue, saying, "Right this very minute, many of you are acquiring the Black Spindle. Wouldn't you know it, there is a bug that is enabling some of these weapons to drop at 310 - that's 20 points higher than intended. We will be releasing an update that will adjust the Black Spindle to match the attack rating for other Year Two Exotics."
He also addressed those who have already has the new acquisition and has infused other weapons to it that they will not be affected by the fix, however, the Spindle will.
Meanwhile, players are in for a big perk as several gaming sites, including Game Rant, revealed an easy way to collect Exotic Engrams without farming them. "Three of Coins is a consumable that increases the drop rate of an exotic engram upon executive ultra boss kills." Lately, Bungie updated the use of Three of Coins, decreasing its drop rates from the story missions.
The Patch Notes describe it as the following:
- In accordance with forum prophecy, Three of Coins that Xur sells are slightly modified.
- Each of them provides a smaller increase to Exotic Engram drop chance when used in rapid succession.
- When used with more time between kills, they remain as effective as before.
