George and Amal Clooney Celebrate Their First Wedding Anniversary
Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015 marks the first wedding anniversary of George and Amal Clooney.
Two days prior to their first wedding anniversary, the Clooneys were spotted out for dinner in Los Angeles, Us Weekly reports.
The couple was dressed in casual ensembles. Amal donned an asymmetrical striped dress by Tome with rope wedges while George wore a brown button down short-sleeved shirt and denim jeans.
Although George and Amal's romantic date night was cut short due to the overwhelming swarm of paparazzi struggling to get a glimpse of the couple, they both looked happy and Amal was escorted out of the restaurant by restaurant employees, the Daily Mail reports.
The Daily Mail suggests the couple's first year of marriage has been blissful as George continuously raves about his wife during interviews.
In a past interview with E! News, George gushed that he "couldn't be happier" being married to Amal.
"There were all the jokes and the bits and I get all that stuff, but I couldn't be happier right now. I wake up in the morning and I think, 'This couldn't be better,'" George added.
During a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, George named the many reasons why he initially fell in love with Amal.
"She's an amazing human being and she's caring," Clooney told ET in May. "And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever met. And she's got a great sense of humor. There's a number of reasons why [I fell in love]."
George and Amal tied the knot in Venice, Italy during an intimate yet lavish ceremony at the Aman Canal Grande Luxury resort, People reports. Their close friend, former mayor of Rome Walter Veltroni, helped the couple tie the knot.
Amal donned an Oscar de la Renta gown while George wore a Giorgio Armani suit. The couple's wedding guest list featured many A-list stars including Matt Damon and John Krasinki.
