NBA 2K16 is keeping up with the 2K Sports vision of letting any player test their luck at becoming a professional sports figure. In NBA 2K16, the game's MyCareer mode gets even more detailed.

Players of NBA 2K16 will be treated to more storylines thanks to director Spike Lee's involvement in the game. Expect more cut scenes, dialogues and drama in MyCareer mode than ever before, CBS Sports reports.

Just like in previous versions of MyCareer mode, players will be able to scan their faces and insert themselves right into the game. However, players have to start way back in high school to get their careers started. In NBA 2K15, players were undrafted free agents trying to earn a 10-day contract.

Players will play three games in high school, which will be short games, with just two minute quarters. One game will be at the player's home court, another at a rival's court and the final will be the state championship. At each game, representatives from real college programs will be in attendance and will try to recruit the player.

Each college will list their advantages of playing there. Georgetown will tell the player about their history of NBA players, Louisville will tell the player about the possibility of winning a National Championship and awards, and Kansas will list players like Wilt Chamberlain and Paul Pierce as reasons for attending their program.

When it is time to choose which college to attend, the player's longtime friend Vic is at his side recording the whole thing on camera. The decision is made and the college life begins.

At college, the player is given four chances to play his best. Each game is two five-minute halves and the player's story and background is discussed by the game announcers. No matter how well the player performs in game one, his value goes down. The announcers doubt that the player will make it to the NBA.

After performing well in the final three games, including the National Championship, the player is ready to make a decision on entering the NBA Draft. Before making that decision, the player is introduced to sports agent Dom Pagnotti.

Players will not have the choice to stay in college after their freshman year, Dom insists on entering the NBA Draft, and he also wants the player to ditch Vic, calling him a bad influence.

After the player is drafted, he'll play in eight games as a rookie, but the main focus is on the off-court drama in year one.

Vic is causing the player a great deal of stress and everyone advises the player to cut ties with his best friend. Vic wants help funding his rap career and reminds the player that in high school he killed someone in a fight, and Vic uses this to take advantage of the player and borrow his car. The owner bans Vic from traveling with the team because he says he is a bad influence on the player. The owner even threatens to release the player since he won't ditch Vic.

After the drama-filled rookie season is over, the player becomes a free agent. He will get to negotiate with three teams. After making the decision, the player celebrates with his family over his new deal. Right after this though, the player finds out that Vic has died in a car wreck.

As the MyPlayer madness settles down, players make choices on how to spend their time. They can either develop their attributes by practicing or spend time improving their brand through endorsements and advertising.

As the player progresses through the MyPlayer mode, he will earn valuable Virtual Currency (VC) and keep improving his game. How far will he go?
