Netflix Debuts Marvel's ‘Jessica Jones’ New Trailer [Watch]
Marvel and Netflix have debuted a new trailer for the highly anticipated new series on the streaming platform, "Jessica Jones."
Although the first trailer for the show was basically just a series of words and images that hyped the series, this new one goes a little further for it, but not by much.
According to Deadline, the series debut Nov. 20 on Netflix will occur at 12:01 a.m. Although this may not make much of a difference, it did not indicate which time zone it was referring to, but fans can probably rest assured it is Pacific time, which means those on the east coast will have to wait up until 3 a.m. to watch it.
The show will star Krysten Ritter in the titular role and will feature the exploits of the character in a gritty theme for the Marvel comic series.
Jones is described as a disgraced superhero that gets dragged back into the game as a private detective in New York City.
Her series is one of four Marvel shows destined for the streaming buffet platform. The first was "Daredevil," which debuted too much critical and subscriber applause, surpassing the streaming giant's other hit series "House of Cards" in popularity.
The growing fascination with superhero comic book TV shows and films has been dominating the airwaves and the box office for several years now. The trend usually comes about every few years, with comic book movies and TV shows having debuted on TV and the big screen for the past several decades.
The trailer is a very basic, barebones look at the new character in her NYC apartment. The time is 3 p.m. and she is seen sleeping with a bottle of whiskey beside the bed. When the alarm clock goes off, she comically grabs the alarm clock and squeezes it, shattering it to pieces.
