The highly anticipated DC series coming to CBS this fall, "Supergirl," has debuted a new trailer that features a few of her most dangerous villains and a few details about the series.

According to Deadline, the show is still nearly a month away, but the hype for the show is at its peak with all the new films and TV shows coming out for the DC TV and Cinematic Universe.

The trailer itself seemed to serve as an introduction to the new villains coming to the series, but most of them are unidentifiable from the comic series. What also becomes painstakingly obvious is that Superman already exists in the show, and it is his rise and notoriety that emboldens the young hero to come out of her own closet and be the hero the world needs.

Although Jimmy Olsen, who is referred to as James on the show, is present, he is a part of both worlds of the Krypton heroes.

In the show, at least so far, the only known super humans are Superman and Supergirl. But there is a strong feeling that once the show advances and other shows premiere, albeit on different networks, that canon could be revised to include other characters, such as the Flash and Arrow. Both of those characters have their own shows on sister network the CW.

There is one character that seems identifiable though, Maxwell Lord. He is portrayed onscreen by Peter Facinelli, and his character is labeled as a morally ambiguous businessman. He has been known to be a thorn in the side for the Justice League but has also allied with them on certain issues as well. It is unclear what role he will be playing on the series.

"Supergirl" is slated to premiere on CBS next month on Oct. 26 and stars Melissa Benoist in the titular role.
