Pat Robertson is at it again. The outspoken host of "The 700 Club" is once again receiving a large amount of media attention for his views on marriage during an episode that aired on Wednesday.

As per usual, Robertson reached a segment in the show where he answered some of the viewer's questions that had been sent to him. Once such question came from a woman who had been betrayed by her husband.

"I've been trying to forgive my husband for cheating on me," the viewer writes. "We have gone to counseling, but I just can't seem to forgive, nor can I trust. How do you let go of the anger? How do you trust again?"

Now, Robertson has never been known for having views that jive well with the status quo, but even then, many people were surprised at the answer he gave to the woman. Rather than console her over that clear violation of trust, Robertson insinuated that it was the woman's fault.

"Give him honor instead of trying to worry about it," he continued. "But recognize also, like it or not, males have a tendency to wander a little bit and what you want to do is make a home so wonderful that he doesn't want to wander."

Robertson also stated that "he cheated on you, well, he's a man," and seemed to offer little in the way of emotional support or condolences. He also seemed to imply that the woman should not care about the cheating because of everything the man had done for her, asking if he was providing food and clothes, nice to the children and handsome.

This is not the first time Robertson has received media attention for controversial statements regarding marriage. Back in January he also blamed a woman for her man's indiscretions in the relationship, stating in so many words that it was the wife's fault that her husband had become an alcoholic.

"A woman came to a preacher I know - it's so funny," said Robertson on his show in January. "She was awful-looking. Her hair was all torn up, she was overweight and looked terrible, clothes bad and everything, and she said, 'Oh Reverend, what can I do? My husband has started to drink.' And the preacher looked at her and he said: 'Madam, if I were married to you, I'd start to drink too.'"

In the past Robertson has also been critical of women for being "hard-nosed" in their relationships, stating that they need to be sweeter in order to maintain a healthy household. Robertson has been married to his wife Adelia Elmer for 58 years.
