Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth have known each other since they started working on the first "The Hunger Game" movie series in 2012. Their working relationship has since blossomed to friendship. However, according to a recent report, the co-stars have now taken their friendship to the next level.

From reel to real romance, that's what an OK! magazine source (via Hollywood Life) hinted of the co-stars true relationship with each other. Following her split from "Coldplay" frontman and Gwyneth Paltrow's ex-husband Chris Martin in August, JLaw reportedly now has her eyes set on Liam Hemsworth. The source claimed the actress has been leaning on her "The Hunger Games" co-star after the split.

"Lots of people were convinced they would wind up together, and they still could. Jen has been calling Liam all the time, especially at night," the source said.

Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth have spent a lot of time together for the past four years while working on the set of "The Hunger Games." However, one of them was always in a relationship. Liam was with Miley Cyrus and JLaw with her "X-Men" co-star and boyfriend Nicholas Hoult before dating Martin. Now it's reportedly possible for them to hook up since it's believed they are both single. However, Liam is also rumored to be dating her "Independence Day 2" co-star Maika Monroe.

However, this is not the first time the co-stars were hit with dating rumors. OK! magazine also reported about it at that time back in November 2104. Another source claimed the pair got to talk about their feelings while promoting "The Hunger Games" in Germany. Lawrence reportedly had a heart-to-heart talk with Liam in his hotel room, where she talked about her relationship with Martin and her nude photo scandal. The source claimed the actor was "more than happy to listen to her vent."

"Jennifer definitely had a moment. Liam obviously felt it too, because they decided then and there that they wanted to be together," the source told OK! magazine.

Both parties have yet to address the dating rumors. For the meantime, JLaw and Liam insist that they are just really close friends, with Jennifer calling Liam his "best friend" during her 2014 interview with Nylon.

During her interview, the actress gushed about how "good-looking" Liam is and called him wonderful, amazing, sweet, hilarious and family-oriented.

Liam also credits Lawrence's help following his split with Miley. He told the Associated Press (via People) how Jennifer made him "much happier" because of her honesty and laughters.
