Clinton SNL Cameo; Mocks Trump and More: Social Media Reaction
Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made a surprise appearance on the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live," but not as herself.
Clinton took part in a short sketch that posed her as Val, a well opinionated bartender that was serving Hillary Clinton played by "SNL" actress Kate McKinnon. The satire ranged all the way from Clinton's criticism to seem relatable, and her various political views.
"I'm just an ordinary citizen who believes the Keystone Pipeline will destroy our environment," Clinton as Val joked.
What really got the most reaction was Clinton's impersonation of Donald Trump. A tasteful jest that seemed to be way out of her character.
"Isn't he the one that's like, 'Ehh, you're all losers'?" Clinton as Val retorted in a comedic imitation.
The reaction, as expected, was mixed and brought just as much criticism as it did laughter.
Hillary Clinton should do the entire upcoming Democratic debate in that Donald Trump impression voice. Hands down would win it. #SNL

Typically not a fan of politicians on comedy shows, but no denying @HillaryClinton hit a home run on #SNL https://t.co/vPefkktegL — Peter Daou (@peterdaou) October 4, 2015
Hillary Clinton playing a bartender on SNL is just a glimpse of her future after she loses the election

Clinton herself seemed thrilled about the experience in preparation on Friday, as she told Entertainment Tonight, "They come at it from a slightly different perspective, and I learn something about myself watching them pretending to be me, so I'm looking forward to spending the time with Kate."
