Brendan Rodgers time as the manager for Liverpool has finally come to an end. The club formally announced that they have parted ways with Rodgers after a 1-1 draw against Everton in the Merseyside Derby, per ESPN FC stats, finishing the season in 10th place after eight games.

The Liverpool FC official website released a statement by Fenway Sports Group principal owner John W. Henry, chairman Tom Werner and president Mike Gordon, saying, "We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Brendan Rodgers for the significant contribution he has made to the club and express our gratitude for his hard work and commitment. All of us have experienced some wonderful moments with Brendan as manager and we are confident he will enjoy a long career in the game."

Rodgers never won a trophy with the club, but he almost led the Reds to the Premier League Title in the 2013-2014 season. Despite spending over $280 million for player transfers, Liverpool has been on the decline in standings.

As for his replacement, LFC announced that a new manager is coming at Anfield. Two of the most talked about managers to run Liverpool is Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti. Let's take a look at their accomplishments.

Jurgen Klopp

The former Mainz and Borussia Dortmund boss won two Bundesliga titles with Dortmund and also a UEFA Champions League runner-up finish in 2013. The German national can speak English fluently and is currently on a sabbatical after leaving BVB at the end of last season, per NBC Sports.

Klopp is known for his energetic passion for the game and is a player's manager. Liverpool fans really want him to be their next manager and they took to Twitter to express their desire for Klopp.

Carlo Ancelotti

The former Real Madrid boss is one of the most decorated managers in the world of football. He guided AC Milan to two Champions League Trophies and a Series A title in 2004. He then helped Chelsea win the Premier League and FA Cup in 2010.

The Italian then lead PSG to a Ligue 1 title in 2012 before ending in Madrid as he finally brought the club's 10th Champions League trophy or "La Decima" in 2014. The 56-year-old is currently recovering from spinal stenosis, as reported by BBC Sports.
