Nina Dobrev, Austin Stowell Relationship: Couple Are Official, Make First Red Carpet Appearance
Nina Dobrev made her relationship with actor Austin Stowell official when the two showed up together at the red carpet premiere of the film "Bridge of Spies" on Sunday.
According to E! Online, the film premiere was held at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center as part of the New York Film Festival.
Dobrev attended the premiere to support Stowell, who plays pilot Francis Gary Powers in the film about the Cold War. The film also stars Tom Hanks and was directed by Steven Spielberg. It will be released in theaters on Oct. 16.
The actress, who walked the carpet in a Versace dress, was first linked to Stowell back in July, when they were spotted on a date at a comedy club. They later attended Eli Mizrahi's Founding Member launch party together during New York Fashion Week.
In 2013, Dobrev, who had just split from boyfriend and costar Ian Somerhalder, told Cosmopolitan what she looks for in a man.
"You either have chemistry or you don't, but a lot of what attracts me is a guy's mind and humor and talent," she said. "I need to get to know all those things before I fall for someone. I'm not a one-night-stand kind of girl. I'm a relationship girl. I'm progressive in some ways, old-fashioned in others. I like it when guys hold the door open and are sweet and thoughtful."
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old star has been busy working on film projects since she finished her last episode on "The Vampire Diaries."
On Sept. 30 it was revealed that Dobrev had been casted in the film "Arrivals." Her character Izzy is a flight attendant and the love interest of Asa Butterfield's character, in a film that also stars "Game of Thrones" actress Maisie Williams, Deadline reports.
Fans can also catch Dobrev in the comedic slasher film "The Final Girls" when it premieres in select theaters on Oct. 9.
