In line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, HTC is currently offering a pink HTC One M9.

According to the company's U.S. website, the limited edition smartphone is clad in pink to help raise awareness for breast cancer.

Buyers can choose between two not-so-different variants of the said device. The first is a pink One M9 while the second has an insignia of a pink ribbon on its back casing. Both variants cost $650 and are not available for Sprint and Verizon subscribers. The offer runs until 11:59 pm (Pacific Daylight Time) on Oct. 31 while ground shipping is for free, Android Police reported.

Furthermore, the Taiwan-based mobile manufacturer is throwing in $150 worth of freebies with every purchase. Buyers will get a $100 credit on the Google Play Store and a free "Dot View Ice" flip case, which also comes in pink. For those who already own the One M9, HTC is also offering any pink-colored case in stock for 30 percent less.

The pink smartphone might look familiar to some, that's because the variant has already been shown off at HTC's press event for the One M9 back in March 2015.

Now, the company has stated that it will be donating $25,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation this month. This has led some tech pundits to believe that HTC's current offer is a ploy to sell its surplus hardware in the guise of an honorable cause. Nevertheless, this does not deter HTC's efforts in supporting the fight against breast cancer.

Users can help raise awareness by roaming around with one of the two pink One M9 variants at hand. The brightly colored smartphones are sure to spark conversation. From there, users can take the opportunity to explain about the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's vision and mission.

The HTC website also has a designated section for those wanting to make donations to help support the fight against breast cancer.

The One M9 sports a five-inch 1080 x 1920 display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory with micro-SD expansion up to 128GB. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 SoC and runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop underneath HTC's Sense 7.0 UI, as per Phone Arena.

The handset is fitted with a 20-megapixel dual-LED flash main camera and a four-megapixel "High Dynamic Range" selfie-shooter.

Meanwhile, Pocket-Lint pointed out that the HTC One M10 could be unveiled this month and released sometime in early 2016.
