According to Xbox Wire, "Logitech G Car Pack" introduces seven new cars to Turn 10 Studios' Xbox One-exclusive racing game.
The new DLC is the first of six monthly expansion packs to be released for "Forza 6." Each DLC brings seven new cars, which means fans can race, customize, and collect a total of 42 new post-game release vehicles in March 2016.
In the meantime, "Logitech G Car Pack" includes the following:
- 2013 Caparo T1
- 1939 Mercedes-Benz W154
- 1994 Nissan #75 Cunningham Racing 300ZX
- 2014 Toyota #12 Rebellion Racing R-One
- 1967 Honda RA300
- 1967 Volvo 123GT
- 2013 Cadillac XTS Limousine
Microsoft also took the opportunity to announce that the company is holding an online video contest in collaboration with Logitech. Users need only to create their own videos in "Forza 6" showing one or more of the cars from the "Logitech G Car Pack," post it on YouTube and let Microsoft know about it on Twitter via the hashtag #LogitechGForza6.
The entry with the most views come Nov. 6 will be declared the first place winner. The creator of the winning video will win one G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel, a G633 Headset, a G910 Keyboard a G303 Mouse and a G633 mouse-pad.
The creator of the second most-viewed entry will win the abovementioned prizes sans the headset and keyboard while the third place winner will get one G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel. The creators of the top four to 10 entries will receive a string of minor awards from Logitech.
Owners of the $30 "Forza 6" Car Pass can grab hold of the "Logitech G Car Pack" from the Xbox Live Store for free while everyone else can download the new DLC for $7. They can also choose to purchase an individual car from the pack. However, the pricing for separate vehicles wasn't mentioned.
"Forza 6" is a racing simulator aimed at car and racing aficionados. Gamers use their race earnings to upgrade their vehicles from basic production cars to suave high-performing roadsters.
The game's impressive haul of cars range from cult performance vehicles of the '80s and '90s to modern day bleeding-edge supercars. It features F1 racers from the '60s and early 20th century deathtraps.
IGN indicated that the game is akin to a nostalgic assemblage of Hot Wheels brought to life, which caters to hardcore automobile fans as well as casual gamers who just want to man the controls of a Ferrari.
"Forza Motorsport 6" was released as an Xbox One-exclusive on Sept. 15, 2015.
