Chiquis Rivera knows her mother, Jenni Rivera, may be gone but the singer recently stated that at her first concert in Anaheim, California, on Oct. 3, her mother was present to support her.

According to TVNotas, the star explained that she felt like her mother was present at her big night and was there in spirit.

"I feel like my mom sent me her love through the public and the fans," the singer said.

The star shared an image from the concert on her Instagram account and gave her thanks to those who made the first show, which was sold out, a success.

"I woke up so thankful with God this morning," she captioned the image.

"I still cant believe it...finally my first concert!!! Wow! Thank you to every single one who assisted! Thank you for making it a #SOLDOUT show...a million thanks!! #AprovechameTour .... Can't wait for the next show. #Reno! Here we come!!!!"

Rivera wasn't the only one who felt the iconic star's presence. Rosa Rivera, the mother of Jenni Rivera and grandmother of Chiquis Rivera, also said she felt the legendary stars presence and could see it in her granddaughter.

"There were times I looked when she [Chiquis Rivera] would turn around or I would look in her eyes and I would say 'there is my daughter,'" she said.

The "Paloma Blanca" singer has seen quite a lot of success since working hard on her own music career, inspired by her mother's own rise to fame. Her efforts have been paying off. Rivera is nominated for Best New Artist and Female Artist of the Year for the first-ever Latin American Music Awards.

She recently revealed to Latin Times that if she was to win one of the two awards it would be the Best New Artist one because she is the only female nominated. However, regardless of which award she wins she will have her mother in mind.

"This would be my absolute first award since I launched my career," said the 30-year-old. "I would obviously dedicate it to my mom and God, because if it weren't for them, I wouldn't be here. I would definitely have to celebrate."
