Serena Williams is rumored to be facing one of her biggest challenges of all in trying to score a commitment from new boyfriend Drake.

According to HollywoodLife, a source claims that even though the Wimbledon champ and the hip hop star have at times appeared to be inseparable during their early stages of dating, Drake still doesn't seem inclined to totally give up his long held playboy lifestyle.

"They are still a thing, but he is also not committed to only her and enjoys the variety life brings in the women department," said a source. "He will always be a player first. But don't tell her that, because she wants to hang out with him more and more, especially since she has taken off time from tennis."

Word is friends and family members of Williams warned her about getting serious with the "Hotline Bling" rapper early on in their courtship, even though he is thought to be the one who first came calling.

In addition, 28-year-old Drake recently made it a point of being front and center in supporting Williams at several major events, including the U.S. Open in New York City where she was seeking to become the first player to win a calendar Grand Slam in decades.

Just days after the tournament ended, Drake was also on hand in support of his lady from the front row of her New York Fashion Week show. Two of his songs, "Back to Back" and "Hotline Bling," were even featured in the show.

Williams recently announced she was taking time off the tour to nurse a series of nagging injuries as well as to emotionally recuperate from the heartache of having come up short in her would-be history making run.
