Actress Gina Rodriguez has joined forces with lingerie brand Naja to help financially empower women in Colombia and Latinas everywhere.

According to InStyle, Rodriguez has joined Naja CEO Catalina Girald, who grew up in Colombia, in her mission to create fashionable lingerie for the everyday woman, while also giving back to the Latino community.

Naja Lingerie makes stylish and comfortable pieces of classic and modern lingerie. Rodriguez was drawn to the project by the company's mission to give back to the women who work in its Colombian manufacturing headquarters, reported Forbes.

"Partnering with Naja was a no brainier," Rodriguez said. "Not only is the lingerie beautiful and well-made but the foundation and the mission of the company aligns perfectly with my heart."

The brand's products are manufactured in Colombia by single women from low-income families. The female employees provide for themselves and their families through work at Naja. They can also send their children to college through the Naja College Education fund.

Girald, who started Naja in 2013, revealed that she felt the partnership with the Puerto Rican actress would be very beneficial.

"She's this up-and-coming celeb with such a big voice," Girald told Women's Wear Daily. "We decided that we wanted to work together to empower women and empower Latinas because that's something that's on Gina's radar."

While sales of Naja lingerie benefit the women of Colombia, Rodriguez is also using her fame and partnership with the brand to promote healthy, empowering confidence in women everywhere.

"I wear lingerie to feel good about myself, to use my body as a hanger for something beautiful," the actress said. "Every girl, no matter her sexuality, economic background, demographic background, wants to look in the mirror and love herself first. I think our lingerie is to love yourself and wear the lingerie for yourself first and foremost."
