'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Gameplay: Black Hat Hacking Mechanic, Rejack Ability & More Tweaked After Beta Testing
After Treyarch released the much-needed beta version of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," feedback from fans led them to revise and change some of the game's features.
According to the PlayStation Blog, David Vonderhaar, Treyarch Studio's design director, announced the changes they have made in the game based on the fans' feedback. They primarily took effort on addressing the issue about the Black Hat hacking mechanic, which, according to most players, is "too powerful." The player's Rejack ability has also been tweaked as well as flinching, grenade use and the kill cam
Thegame's flinching feature has given a limit to players on how far a weapon can move once hit. Meanwhile, there will be no more taking advantage of the Rejack ability because of its resounding controversy of kills that don't count for the opponents.
The Grenade part, which has been addressed to be too powerful, has ultimately changed the amount of time that players can unlock the Tactical Mask for protection. Prior to the beta feedback, the Tactical Mask can be unlocked from a higher level. However, this time, it was reduced to a lower level in order to give the players some protection from the impact of the grenade and Nova Gas.
Perks have also been integrated to boost players' excitement and challenge them.
The beta version of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" has also been greeted with several PC issues. Treyarch tried to address the issues through the game's community forum.
The statement from the developer said, "Some players felt that the game did not perform well on their computer. The good news is that the PC beta didn't include final performance optimization. This work is being completed as we speak. We're improving performance and working with hardware partners to prepare optimized drivers for launch." Issues about the "floaty" and "laggy" mouse have also been fixed by the developer.
The beta version of the game also presented players with crash and freeze issues that, according to Treyarch, have mostly been fixed and addressed.
The compatibility issue for those who have a hard time integrating to networking configurations has also been amended. Players can now connect smoothly to the game.
Treyarch also stressed that the current fixes are based from all the players' feedback during the duration of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" beta version.
