NFL Games to Be Broadcast to Premium TuneIn Users
TuneIn and the NFL announced a partnership Monday that will allow TuneIn's premium users to receive live play-by-play for all NFL games including the Super Bowl.
TuneIn is the streaming and live radio network that provides a wide variety of audio content to listeners. The partnership between TuneIn and the NFL will include the home and away play-by-play broadcasts for all 32 NFL teams to premium TuneIn users. There will also be additional programming that will include pre-game shows, analysis and much more, according to Tech Crunch.
The NFL has been trying to get more viewers to enjoy their programming and they have made efforts to make it easier for mobile users to enjoy their content. At the beginning of the season, the NFL partnered with Snapchat to show quick video highlights and behind-the-scenes views from games. Mobile viewers can also access Game Pass to stream games, watch archived games and video content on a variety of devices.
The new partnership between the NFL and TuneIn will also offer free users of TuneIn with additional content. There will be a special NFL channel with NFL Network shows like "NFL Total Access," "Around the NFL" and "NFL HQ." They will also be able to access special NFL podcasts and original content from TuneIn and the NFL.
A new show that will debut later this month will last seven hours for premium users. This show will feature live analysis of NFL games, stats and quick live game-day updates from local broadcasts of ongoing games.
SiriusXM satellite radio and traditional radio stations have mostly ruled the radio market when it comes to NFL content.
Rural NFL fans and those who live outside of the United States will now be able to listen to their favorite teams no matter where they are. TuneIn Premium is available for $7.99 per month.
