After years of tedious trying, model Chrissy Teigen and hitmaker John Legend are finally having the first of their brood.

In an Instagram post, Hollywood Life reports that Chrissy made the announcement by uploading a snap of her lying comfortably on a sofa while her husband adorably rubbed her belly in anticipation of the little Teigen-Legend baby.

"John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :) As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx," Chrissy said in her caption while she and her husband looked so genuinely happy together.

The soon-to-be father also made his announcement by uploading the same picture and captioning it with "We're pregnant!"

It has been two years since the pair married in a New York courthouse and, days after, in a lavish wedding ceremony in Lake Como, Italy. Since then, the couple has been trying to conceive.

The singing superstar's lady love has also been very vocal with their struggle in conceiving a child. According to E! Online, the 29-year-old model admitted that they are already seeing fertility doctors while she was promoting her upcoming morning show, "FABLife," with Tyra Banks.

"I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble," the model confessed emotionally. "We would have kids five, six years ago if it'd happened. But, my gosh, it's been a process!"

Chrissy also expressed that she was hurt whenever someone asked her when she will finally have a baby.

"So, anytime somebody asks me if I'm going to have kids, I'm like, 'One day, you're going to ask that to the wrong girl who's really struggling, and it's going to be really hurtful to them. And I hate that. So, I hate it. Stop asking me!'" she added.

Since the baby has come into fruition, is it already enough for the couple to settle down with one child?

In an interview with Sports Illustrated in May 2014, via E! Online, the cover girl said she and her husband wanted to have a lot of kids, and, by a lot, they mean "Angelina-Brad type of brood."

"I definitely want a lot of kids, though, and he does as well," Chrissy said.
