Lamar Odom Dead Rumors: NBA Star Fights for Life After Found Unresponsive, Khloé Kardashian at His Side
Lamar Odom is reported to be "fighting for his life" after being found unresponsive at a Las Vegas brothel, leaving ex-wife Khloé Kardashian totally "inconsolable."
TMZ reports the 35-year-old former NBA star was rushed to a hospital emergency room midday Tuesday, reportedly suffering from an overdose of herbal Viagra.
The website adds that video footage shows paramedics frantically working to save Odom, as they arrived at Desert View hospital around 4 p.m. He was later transferred to nearby Sunrise Hospital, where he is rumored to remain unconscious and breathing with the help of a respirator.
Reports are the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award winner and two-time champion had "liquid coming out of his nose and mouth" when paramedics arrived.
Love Ranch South brothel owner Dennis Hof told reporters Odom arrived at the establishment some time ago. Odom was found unresponsive by staffers, who quickly called authorities.
"He said he was just trying to get away from people so he could have some time to himself without the pressures of being who he is," Hof said, adding that there were no other signs of drugs in Odom's room.
Odom has a history of substance abuse problems, and earlier this year, two of his closest friends died of drug-related causes.
Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner are also reported to have joined Khloé at the hospital, while Rob Kardashian and Scott Disick are rumored to be on their way to Vegas.
Khloé and Odom were married for four years before she filed for divorce in late 2013 amid rumors of his rampant drug use and persistent infidelity. During a recent episode of the family's "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reality show, Khloé, now dating current NBA star James Harden, revealed she still speaks with her ex on a regular basis and will forever care for him.
