Teresa Giudice has taken to advising husband Joe on what he can expect when he starts serving his 41-month prison sentence on bank fraud-related charges.

Currently serving out the remainder of her own 15-month sentence on similar charges, the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star told her husband he should expect to meet some decent people inside, and she has given him some tips about the underground prison economy, E! News reports.

"They trade what they get in the commissary," he told E! News. "So, let's say somebody does your hair, you give them a pretzel. Or nail polish remover, whatever you order from the commissary. But that's how they do things in there. There's no money exchange."

As for his overall expectations, Joe insisted he's approaching his sentence as a chance to start over and put the scandal behind him.

In the meantime, Joe is keeping busy. Earlier this month, a three-part Bravo special debuted about his experience trying to care for his young daughters while his wife is away. "Teresa Checks In" also stars the mother of four via jailhouse phone calls with family members.

Overall, Joe added his wife has kept a positive attitude through the experience, and that has made it somewhat easier for her to cope.

"New people coming in, people leaving, so you're always meeting people," he said. "Just because they're in there doesn't mean they're bad people."

Teresa has also already signed on to rejoin the cast of "Real Housewives" once she has been released sometime around Christmas.

Reports are network officials have delayed filming on the new season in hopes of being able to feature her in more episodes. She is also rumored to be receiving a salary of up to $2 million for the new season.

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In" airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET.
