Renee Zellweger is back in the spotlight after surprising everyone with her dramatic facial transformation at the Elle magazine party last year. The actress was recently spotted at the set of "Bridget Jones Baby" in London showing yet another change of appearance.

Photos shared by New Idea magazine revealed a different looking Zellweger as she returns to portray her titular role in the "Bridget Jones" film franchise. In one photo the 46-year old actress looked totally unrecognizable and slightly a bit older. Fine lines appear on her forehead as she gives the camera a small smile. The actress looked different from her red carpet appearance at Elle magazine's 21st annual "Women in Hollywood Awards" in 2014, where she stunned the media with her wrinkle-free face.

Another photo from the set of "Bridget Jones Baby" in London shared by New Idea magazine shows Zellweger's face looking much like her appearance at the Elle party last year. This time her brow and her forehead are devoid of any signs of aging.

Zellweger has played the lead character in the "Bridget Jones" movie franchise since 2011. However, her change of facial appearance has become a cause of worry among fans of the movie since she reportedly does not look like the same Bridget Jones anymore. According to Fox News, the success of the third movie could depend on the actress' un- Bridget-Jones-like face.

However, pop culture expert Cate Meighan said the actress' dramatic facial transformation can be interjected in the sequel. "Bridget Jones Baby" can reportedly add a line or two to explain the character's change of appearance.

"I think acknowledging it with one perfectly placed, quick-witted line would really solve any issue. Bridget is known for her sharp tongue so one simple reference to sometimes looking like a totally different person would put the whole issue to rest. Sometimes people don't need an entire dialogue about an obvious issue, they just need a moment of acknowledgement and then everyone moves on," Meighan told Fox News.

Body image expert Sarah Maria also told Fox News that the success of "Bridget Jones Baby" will depend on whether fans have already accepted the actress' new look. It would reportedly be a problem for the franchise to continue if moviegoers are offended by Zellweger's facial transformation.

Zellweger had previously appreciated that fans noticed her change of appearance during an interview with People. There have been several reports of the actress having done major facial surgery but Zellweger said her change of lifestyle is what brought on her new look.
