On Thursday, pop singer Shakira became the latest star to launch her own app with the release of her new game "Love Rocks."

The Colombian singer announced the release of her new video game app, which is available to both iOS and Android users, on Twitter.

"My new game, @LoveRocks, is finally here! It's awesome - hope you love it as much as I do!" the star tweeted.

Fans of the Latina have been awaiting the release of the app since Monday, when the Apple App Store tweeted out a hint about Shakira's new virtual project.

According to the app's official website, the gem-collecting game allows fans to complete a variety of puzzles in four game modes, lets users see the singer's own score on each level, and is the first game ever to feature drop3 gameplay.

This isn't the first time Shakira has partnered with Rovio, the creators of the game. In September, the singer revealed her partnership with the creators of the popular game "Angry Birds," Billboard reported.

The singer was transformed into a yellow angry bird with a lot of blond hair for the latest game in the franchise, called "Angry Birds Pop." The singer will also make an appearance in the next two versions of the franchise, "Angry Birds Friends" and "Angry Birds 2."
