"Heroes Reborn" will return Thursday, hopefully solving a few of the many mysteries introduced throughout the first four episodes.

From the released promo, the miniseries' fifth chapter, "The Lion's Den," looks a little more action packed than last week's showing.

The clip shows young Evo Malina (Danika Yarosh) facing off with a couple of armed men, likely Renautus agents. She pushes them back with some type of vibrating energy, which may confuse viewers even more as to her exact abilities.

Last time audiences saw her, Malina seemingly resurrected a field of frozen butterflies and made a tree grow into the sky. Does she have some type of supernatural control over living organisms?

The preview also shows a new dark haired young girl, who looks to be "The Shadow" character Molly Walker (Francesca Eastwood) alluded to before she took her own life in front of Noah Bennett (Jack Coleman).

The sinister girl is juxtaposed in the clip with Malina, hinting that she may be an evil counterpart to the heroine. Malina also remarks that she "can't use her powers." It's possible The Shadow has an effect similar to The Haitain in the first series.

Meanwhile, Erica (Rya Kihlstedt) currently seems to be winning the race for Most Likely Villain. The Renautus CEO is shown accepting -- or maybe even condoning -- the possibility that 97 percent of the world's population could die. This probably ties in with Molly's warning of a plan that would kill 7 billion people.

Tommy's (Robbie Kay) arc is also moving along. The frustrated teen asks Mr. Penny Man (Pruitt Taylor Vince) why he is so important, to which the mysterious figure replies, "You're going to help save the world."

"Heroes Reborn" airs Thursdays on NBC at 8 p.m. ET. Check out the promo for tonight's episode below!
