GTA 5 Online PS4, Xbox One & PC Update: Lowrider Customizations Available for Download on Oct. 20
Finally, an update for one of the racing favorites to grace gaming enthusiasts, "Grand Theft Auto." The release, "GTA Online: Lowriders" for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, is about to hit the circuit, giving players new customization options that make the racing experience better than ever.
According to the official release from Rockstar Games, the new update will introduce Benny's Original Motor Works. The custom shop will get players decked out in their made-over vehicles before hitting the streets for a race or two.
"Visit Benny's website via the shortcut on your in-game phone to choose from a half-dozen select customizable vehicles - then bring them down to the man himself for an upgrade that unlocks new custom lowrider mods," the official statement instructed. "Deck out your engine block with covers and air filters, coat your interiors with velour, leather and patterns, choose custom colors and designs for your dials, or add a new steering wheel and custom shift levers. Give your ride lift with hydraulics - the more powerful the pumps, the higher you can bounce. And boost your stereo's performance with new speakers and subs in the back."
There are endless of features to play with and try out. Showing off the newly customized car is also easier with the Player Interaction Menu, which players can access to open the doors, hood and trunk, switch the engine on and off, and turn up the radio station for cool tunes.
Rockstar Games will also feature a character called Lamar, who will be enlisting the player's help from time to time. Other cool features include weapons from the stocked-up Ammu-Nation, a fourth purchasable property for those interested in expansion, new clothing, hair and accessory options, and three new Adversary Modes.
According to a report from Game Spot, this particular update will only be available to users of the newest consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While it's still unknown if more updates are coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it has been previously announced by Rockstar Games that they will be focusing on the new generations of PlayStation and Xbox for upcoming GTA Online updates.
"The primary technical reason is the memory capacity for the older systems," design director Imran Sarwar said in a report from IGN. "We are constantly adding new items to the game with each update and we began approaching the memory limits after the first year of GTA Online content."
"GTA Online: Lowriders" for PS4, Xbox One and PC will be launched as an automatic update on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
