Bill Cosby is facing yet another legal hurdle, after a former actress filed suit alleging he drugged and groped her, before heartlessly trashing her reputation.

Renita Hill, who once starred in Cosby's "Picture Pages," filed suit in Pennsylvania this week claiming defamation at the hands of the now 78-year-old comedian, who has now been accused of assaulting over 50 women in total over a 40-year span.

The New York Daily News reports Hill, now the mother of three children, alleges she suffered great "emotional distress" after reps for Cosby branded her a liar when she initially went public with her allegations.

"The filing of this lawsuit is one more step toward seeking justice for what happened to me and in holding Bill Cosby accountable for the false allegations that he's made against me," Hill, 48, said in a statement.

Stressing that she hopes justice will finally be served, Hills claims she met Cosby at a tavern in Pittsburgh when she was just 16-years-old and eager to break into the world of show business. She recalls Cosby signaling her out from a crowd and offering her the chance to co-host his educational TV program.

Cosby is already facing a similar defamation suit from at least three other women, and last week, a federal judge denied a motion by his attorneys to have the case dismissed. In addition, earlier this month Cosby was also deposed in a Los Angeles courtroom by famed civil rights attorney Gloria Allred in proceedings for client Judy Huth, who claims Cosby sexually abused her at the Playboy Mansion more than 40 years ago when she too was still a teen.

Hill further alleges her abuse lasted from 1983 until 1987, a time when she characterizes herself as "a naïve teenager who trusted Cosby and didn't understand the extent to which he controlled and abused her."

She claims she finally worked up the courage to break off all contact with Cosby after she enrolled at Spelman College, even though by then, he was paying her tuition, and she ultimately was forced to drop out of school.
