Chris Brown's latest "Sorry" song is rumored to be an ode to model, ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

While many have speculated the "Loyal" singer may have been reminiscing about fellow ex Rihanna in lyrics he performs alongside Rick Ross, IBTimes reports it's Tran that is the subject of his affections. The website adds it was Ross' people who contacted Brown about doing the song given his well-chronicled breakups with both women.

Brown and Tran publicly split earlier this year when it became public knowledge that he had fathered a child with another woman behind her back. For a while, he tried in vain to reconcile the relationship before the two briefly engaged in an ongoing war of words on social media.

His breakup with Rihanna was even more infamous. The two parted ways after Brown became physical with the "Diamonds" singer at a 2009 Grammys-related event in Los Angeles. He was ultimately convicted of assault and sentenced to five years probation.

The two later briefly reconciled and the sultry singer recently told Vanity Fair magazine she gave her then-bad boy boyfriend a second chance because she thought she could change him.

Early on, the song is looking like a major hit for Brown and a source close to him recently told reporters of Ross and his crew's vision, "They were right because it turned out to be a dope single, nobody never really hear Chris Brown on a joint like this. It was definitely written for Karrueche and am sure she listens to it. They don't talk right now but you would have to be a person with no heart not to be moved by a heartfelt joint like this."

More recently, 25-year-old Brown has been seeking to maintain a lower profile after gaining joint-custody of his year-old daughter Loyalty.
