Ann Coulter, the famed American political commentator and writer, appeared on day-time television talk show "The View" this past Friday to promote her new book, "Adios, America." While defending her anti-immigration beliefs, Coulter managed to shut down personal attacks from co-host Raven-Symone.

In her new book, Coulter exposes the current immigration policies that, according to her, have allowed for millions of immigrants from "backwards cultures" to enter the United States. It comes as no surprise that Coulter favors the outspoken Republican candidate Donald Trump for his bold and controversial stance on the same issue.

Being a self-proclaimed "one-issue voter," Coulter opines that immigration has become America's most prominent problem. Both political parties have used immigrants to their advantage, resulting in the disadvantage of the American people, according to Coulter.

Co-host and political analyst Ana Navarro, who openly identifies herself as an immigrant, inquired as to Coulter's own nationality. Coulter briefly explains that she is a descendant of settlers, not immigrants.

Before continuing her controversial remarks, Raven-Symone interjects questioning Coulter's own moral compass.

"Why do you think that it's important to mud-sling and have these words that obviously touch the hearts and souls of so many people in America being said when we're taught something different as a child? Could you explain that to me, and why do you think your success is based off of that?"

To which Coulter instantly retorts, "I'm at least talking about policy, you have a position on what people's names should be. Watermelondrea. I mean, you'll insult people for their names. I'm talking about a government policy that affects all Americans and immigrants and the people living here, and is harming our country."

Coulter's immediate reference to Symone's controversial remarks made earlier this week came as a surprise to everyone, especially Raven-Symone, who opted for silence at the end of the quick exchange.

Raven-Symone, who joined the cast of "The View" this past summer, has been making headlines of her own for her blunt and at times prejudicial statements. Her most recent blunder was an admission of being discriminatory against non-traditional names.

"I'm not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea. It's just not going to happen."

Raven-Symone has since issued a public apology.
