Eddie Murphy took a rare public, comedic appearance at the Kennedy Center Sunday night as an opportunity to rip into fellow funnyman Bill Cosby.

According to Radar Online, while being presented with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, Murphy mesmerized the overflow crowd with an impersonation of the now-disgraced comedian.

In reference to Cosby and the award, the "48 Hours" star asked, "Bill has one of these. Did you all make him give it back?"

After making clear to the crowd the difference between an award and a prize, Murphy added in a reference to Cosby, "You know you've gone wrong when they want you to give your trophy back."

Murphy then launched into a spellbinding impersonation of Cosby holding onto his award for dear life. "I would like to talk to some of the people who feel like I should give back my motherf*ckin' trophies," he joked.

In recent months, as many as 50 women have emerged to accuse the now 78-year-old Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them over a span of more than four decades. New York magazine recently published a cover story in which 35 of Cosby's alleged victims recounted the horrors they insist they suffered at his hands.

In the wake of all the allegations, several institutions have recently stripped the legendary actor of the honorary degrees and distinctions they had previously bestowed on him.

Cosby also now faces several civil suits, including one from former Playboy bunny Judy Huth, which led to him being deposed in a California court earlier this month. The interrogation was handled by famed civil rights attorney Gloria Allred, and reports are Cosby was grilled for more than seven hours.

Attorneys for Cosby have denied all the allegations, and he has never been criminally charged in any of the cases.
