Microsoft is updating its inventory for its brand new laptop, the Surface Book, with more quantities of the laptops and adding a model with some of the best options a laptop can offer.

The Surface Book was just launched earlier this month and there are options for the new laptop that start as low as $1,499. Preorders for the Surface Book sold out quickly and now Microsoft is adding more supply to its online store to meet early demand, CNet reports.

On Friday, Microsoft added an ultra-premium version of the Surface Book that will cost $3,100. This version of the Surface Book will feature an Intel Core i7, 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage space. By expanding to 1 TB of storage, buyers face a $500 price increase over the model with 512 GB of storage.

The Surface Book is offered in six different versions, starting with the $1,499 model. The lowest model of the Surface Book uses the Intel Core i5 processor, has 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage space. Customers can upgrade the processor, add more RAM and storage space by spending more.

Microsoft is trying to improve the overall computer market's weak sales numbers in recent years. This is their first ever laptop and customers have shown they are excited for it.

Preorders for the Surface Book came in fast, but customers will have to wait between six and eight weeks to actually receive the laptops. The $3,100 Surface Book will not ship until January. Customers can try to go into a Microsoft retail store on Oct. 26 to purchase one, but quantities will be limited.

By creating the Surface Book, Microsoft wants to show what laptops can do when powered by Windows 10. Microsoft hopes that other laptop makers will make similar laptops based on the Surface Book.

The Surface Book is a combination of a laptop and a tablet. The keyboard on the Surface Book can be removed, allowing the screen to turn into a tablet.
