Disney's Oscar winning animated film Frozen seems to be a nice, wholesome, family-friendly film. That is... if you're a misguided liberal according to various GOP pundits! These pundits and commentators, who have nothing better to do it seems, are determined to prove and promote the idea that Frozen isn't just meant to be an entertaining film. They insist that something much more nefarious and liberal is taking place onscreen.

What could a sweet film like Frozen possibly do to piss off the republicans? Does the movie depict President Obama taking another vacation (god forbid) with his family to Hawaii? Perhaps Frozen alleges that Al Gore really won the 2000 presidential election (which he did). Actually, neither of those things are mentioned during the film. Instead, the crazy conservatives believe that the film is nothing more than an indoctrination tool hell bent on advancing the homosexual agenda. Cue the outrage!

Prolific Mormon blogger Kathryn Skaggs brought some serious heat when she called Frozen a propaganda machine of the highest order.

"It is apparent that the very best talent within the industry was called upon for every facet of producing and bringing [Frozen] to the big screen: illustrators; animators; writers; composers; singing artist; actors; etc., in order to woo its intended audience, parents, into a frozen-state, which would then allow liberalism to indoctrinate children," Skaggs jotted down on her blog.

Outspoken Minnesota republican Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann would likely agree with Skaggs. After all, her latest oddball, incendiary comments centered around the aggressiveness of the LGBT community. Apparently gay people are "bullies" simply because they've been (successfully for the most part) advocating for increased freedoms and acceptance across America.

Everyone's least favorite radio host Kevin Swanson had to join in on the hate parade by calling frozen "evil."

"If I was the Devil, what would I do to really foul up an entire social system and do something really, really, really evil to five- and six- and seven-year-olds in Christian families around America?" Swanson asked his ill-informed listeners on Monday. "I would buy Disney."

Disney, if you didn't know, released Frozen. Maybe the one million moms will boycott the giant entertainment company again?

And finally, Steven Greydanus of the National Catholic Registrar is convinced that Frozen is the gayest thing since Hairspray. He refers to Elsa (the main character in the film) as a lesbian. He also calls into question the character's sexuality.

"Elsa's giant, male-voiced snow monster, wandering through her abandoned ice palace, picks up her abandoned tiara and places it daintily on his own head, smiling as it discovers its true inner princess."

Unless you have an IQ numbering in the teens, it doesn't seem likely that there is a secret homosexuality cult hell-bent on converting children towards the LGBT community. Instead, and much more likely, is the plain old fact that the right wing hates progress. They even think that Thomas Edison, the inventor of the lightbulb, "was a bad man." It's just simply impossible to reason with people who spout off ludicrous claims that are cloaked in 1950s paranoia.
