"Dancing with the Stars" paid tribute to some of the most iconic dances in history in the latest episode, leading to highs and lows as a television personality got eliminated and three pairs wowed enough to get perfect scores.

Last week was a reprieve from eliminations, but in the latest episode, the stars were given no relief. While it probably comes as no surprise that Paula Deen and Louis van Amstel were eliminated, it was a bummer after their spirited performance of Madonna's "Vogue" that garnered them 24 out of 40 points.

Still, when it was announced that she will be leaving, Deen admitted she was somehow relieved, according to a report from E! Online.

"I get to see my grandbabies!" she said. "I've been like a fish outta water for six weeks. It took them a long time to convince me to come do this. It was wonderful. It was worth it."

"Grease" actress Olivia Newton-John served as a guest judge.

Honoring the guest judge, Hayes Grier and Emma Slater put on a fun dance set to "You're The One That I Want," earning 32 points after each judge gave them eight points. This week, Alek Skarlatos found himself in the middle of the pack with Lindsay Arnold after their jive rendition of Elvis' "Jailhouse Rock" highlighted the stiffness in Skarlatos' movements. The pair got a total score of 30 points.

Also in the middle this week was Alexa PenaVega, who wowed in the previous week with a perfect score. Her "I'm a Slave 4 U" cha-cha with original partner Mark Ballas failed to evoke the same awe. They raked a mere 30 points from the judges.

Meanwhile, the rest of the roster went above and beyond the expectations including Carlos PenaVega and Nick Carter with their respective partners Witney Carson and Sharna Burgess. PenaVega performed a sexy "Magic Mike" number to "Pony," resulting in 38 points, while Carter channelled John Travolta in "You Should Be Dancing," just falling short of a perfect score with 39 points.

Three pairs garnered a perfect score from the judges, making the competition tough at the top. Tamar Braxton, eager to prove herself after a subpar performance last week, nailed Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation." Similarly, another frontrunner, Bindi Irwin, scored 40 points with her "(I've Had) the Time of My Life" with Derek Hough.

Andy Grammer proved himself as a force to reckon with as he found his confidence with Allison Holker in a jazz performance of "Good Morning." It was a hit with the judges who gave him a standing ovation and a perfect score.

"It feels like connecting with a really important artist from the past," he told People about dancing the Gene Kelly classic. "I just felt like I was really getting to know someone new as a performer."
